Claremont: A thriving urban shopping destination and the meeting hub of the Western Suburbs.
This attractive and established suburb comes with leafy streets and river access. It’s unique in that this suburb offers everything in one stunning location, from top performing schools, numerous parks and reserves, various sporting clubs and recreational centres, plus an array of shopping from high-end fashion to fresh food markets.
The old meets the new when it comes to housing, with renovated Californian bungalows, older historical federation homes, blended in with modern new builds. Upmarket apartment complexes have recently become available above the Claremont Quarter and single story duplex homes are commonly found to the north, near the Claremont Showgrounds.
Conveniently located between Nedlands, Cottesloe and Mount Claremont, and with a short drive to the beach and the city, the suburb appeals to a wide demographic from young to mature families, retired couples and working professionals. A strong focus on education is represented by two primary schools; Freshwater Bay Primary and St Thomas Primary, and two of the state’s top performing secondary schools Christ Church Grammar and Methodist Ladies College (MLC).
Weekends can be spent bird watching at the Claremont Lake, playing golf at the local golf course, or taking the kids for a swim at the aquatic centre. At night a casual beer at a nearby hotel or a choice between a variety of fantastic local favourite restaurants.
