Balanze Pilates Studio

Balanze is a leading Pilates, Yoga and Barre studio in Claremont that is committed to helping people live healthier and happier lives. Balanze founder, MJ, was working long hours as an investment banker in London when she first discovered Pilates. This moment became a turning point on the road to living a more holistic life and soon after Balanze was born. This space is also used after class to serve complimentary tea and allow members to return to calm after the sweaty intensity of one of the Balanze classes. There is also a small retail section that stocks the latest activewear and accessories that any Yoga or Pilates enthusiast needs.

If you have never experienced a Yoga, Pilates or Barre class before then you could be forgiven for having some misguided assumptions about this holistic form of exercise. Perceived by some as just gentle stretching on mats, this could not be further from the truth. Balanze offers a range of classes that are perfect for people that want to achieve a wide range of different exercise goals. If you’re looking to relax and unwind after a tough day at the office then the Yin Yoga class could be perfect. For those that are looking to get their heart rate pumping the Boxilates, Bootycamp or Yoga Beats classes will leave you panting in a sweaty pool of achievement at the end.

The Bend exercise room is where you will find Balanze’s Reformer Pilates classes. Bend utilises the premium Balanced Body Allegro 2 reformers that offer super smooth movement allowing for a great range of versatility and challenge. These reformer classes have three separate class levels that perfectly cater to people across all ranges of ability. Beginners are encouraged to start with the Technique class that introduces them to this style of pilates. For a bit more of a challenge, you can step up to the Sweat class. For all the pilates masters out there that really want to test themselves, the Transform classes will push you to your limit. There is even a 35-minute Quickie Reformer class that you can squeeze in whilst on your lunch break or in between running errands or shopping at nearby Claremont Quarter.
